Sri Muthukumaran College of Education
Ever since the dawn of independence, leaders in our country have been laying stress on the importance of imparting quality education in the country, as good education alone will help people to rise up in the various walks of life. Education involves investment of huge amounts running to cores of rupees. The Government alone will not be able to develop education exclusively in the public sector. Hence the development of educational facilities have been entrusted to private organizations also.
Against the above background in the country, the Sri Muthukumaran Educational Trust was started on 1984 and Public Charitable and Educational Trust with its registered office in Chennai 600078. The following are the founder Trustees of the Sri Muthkumaran Educational Trust:

The Trust members do not have any political connections.
They are not members of any political party. Further, they do not
have any business dealing and they have no profit motive.
The Trust has been started with the object of establishing
educational institutions. In fact the sole aim is to spread knowledge
and promote education in all fields viz; Education, Engineering
Technology, Arts and Science, Medical, Dental and Para Medical etc.
Ever since the establishment of the Trust, the members of the Trust
have been functioning with missionary Zeal and dedication
striving every nerve to establish one educational institution after
another.
The Trust has established several educational institutions,
namely Engineering Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges, Industrial
Training Institute, Dental College, Medical Colleges, Para Medical
Colleges covering Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational
Therapy and Arts and Science Colleges, Higher Secondary Schools,
Matriculation School, CBSE School, An educational college and A
Teacher Training Institute. All the above institutions have been
established during the period from 1983-84 to 2009-2010.
